Our RV is a fifth wheel trailer manufactured by Grand Design. It is a Solitude brand and the floorplan is 382WB. That means it's roughly 382 sqft and has a wet-bar. It's layout is forward living with kitchen mid-ship, bedroom adjacent and finally bathroom in the rear. It's very spacious with five slide-outs and comfortable. 

We went shopping for a new RV as our previous travel trailer was quite a bit smaller and I was continually bumping my head on something. We had also committed to a four month work-camping gig in North Carolina and Kim wasn't ready to spend four months in that old camper. We were originally looking for a Grand Design Reflection 337RLS but when we got to the dealer, all they had were units that had been built in mid-2020. Given the impacts of Covid19, I was a bit concerned about the build quality of those which may or may not have been justified. The dealer had this 382wb on the showroom floor and with a January 2020 pre-Covid build date, we went for it. Turned out to be a good choice as the prices on these same units increased by 40% over the next couple of years. Our Palace has had a couple of issues b ut nothing that's kept us from travelling.

Now, unlike the truck, this RV has had quite a few modifications and upgrades. I'll detail those later.
